Current Conditions:Fairview Community is a dynamic spiritual organism empowered by the Holy Spirit to share Christ with as many people as possible in our ecclesia (church), community, and throughout the world.
To be a worshiping congregation, experiencing an awareness of God, recognizing his person, and responding in obedience to his leadership;
To experience an increasingly meaningful fellowship with God and fellow believers;
To help people experience a growing knowledge of God and man;
To be a Christian community that ministers unselfishly to persons in the community and to work in Jesus’ name.
To be a fellowship whose purpose is to be Christlike in our daily living by emphasizing total commitment of life, personality, and possessions to the lordship of Christ.
From Pastor Paul 120513
Genesis 4:1-2 (NASB) 1 Now the man had relations with his wife Eve, and she conceived and gave birth to Cain, and she said, "I have gotten a manchild with the help of the LORD." 2 Again, she gave birth to his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of flocks, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
And thus we see the first Mothers Day celebrations in Scripture!
Mothers are obviously very special to God. In second chapter of the book of Genesis, God solicits Adam's assistance in naming all of the animals. Later, after their eviction from the garden, God gives Adam instructions as to growing of crops to feed his growing family. But to Eve, He gives little in instruction as to how to be a mother; it seems that came with the construction of the person, herself!
Feminine history is replete with instances of young, inexperienced girls having children and successfully raising good, productive families. My own mother was only seventeen when my elder sister was born. She had not yet turned nineteen when I made my appearance into the world. In my own childhood, I never looked at my mother as being young or inexperienced. As a matter of fact, she was the rock, the foundation in our family.
Books on parenting are a fairly new phenomenon! Mothers, through the centuries, have been quite good at raising children without a manual. God manages to make every child unique and I think a good case could be made for the uniqueness of each and every mother, as well.
The mother of our Lord was a young teen when He was born. At the onset of her pregnancy the Word tells us at Matthew 1:18 (NASB) "Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit."
There is a lot of information wrapped up in that little verse. First of all, betrothal of Jewish girls usually took place at an early age. So, it is likely that Mary was not over thirteen or fourteen – probably fifteen, at the eldest. Secondly, not having formally entered into Joseph's home, finding herself with child would have been a bit hard to handle! Through the power of the Holy Spirit, Mary took it all in stride.
Through the ages we have seen this same determination; this same resolve to do right by the family, demonstrated over and over again. Let us cheer for the mothers of the world. Let us rejoice that God relied upon them so man times to simply do what is right.

We could really use a few more musicians to add to our efforts in Praising God in music. A lead guitarist (or two), bass player, drummer, etc. etc. We are open to talent. Even if you are only good at playing the Kazoo, we would like to give you a try. If you are aware of anyone who is interested in using their musical instrurments in lifting praises to Jesus, let us know or have them contact Pastor Paul. And, even if you don't know of anyone, please keep the matter in prayer.
